Soverato Country Resort is a historical estate belonging to an ancient aristocratic family from Calabria. Nestled into the lush green vegetation, typical of the Mediterranean regions, its grounds extend over 4 acres of land holding the most beautiful varieties of trees and plants.
Surrounding our estate there is a splendid olive grove, made up of local varieties of olive trees, from which a cold pressed extra-virgin olive oil with high quality standards and aromatic properties, is made on site. The citrus orchard, with more than ten different varieties of oranges and tangerines, is surrounded by hedges, ornamental plants, and the typical Soverato hot pepper, organically grown on the estate.
Our detached stone cottages in Soverato, once used as mews, have been completely restored in a fashion true to their original essence. Our aim to preserve the integrity of the buildings with the least impact on the environment was achieved by reusing as much of the original elements as possible like stone, framing lumber, old terracotta floor and roof tiles. At the same time, the most advanced techniques of bioclimatic architecture were employed: for example, water is heated by ecological solar panels.
An amazingly spectacular scenery is waiting for you: beside the uncontaminated nature, you will be able to enjoy the delightful view of the sea, within easy reach at about one mile distance – a few minutes by car or a quarter of an hour on foot.
Our offer includes all the advantages of a holiday in close contact with nature and the opportunity to stroll down our olive tree-lined trails, or to cool down under the oaks overhanging the old fountain. You can also enjoy living near the Soverato beaches: the sea there has been acknowledged as the clearest of Italy from time immemorial.
